The Firefly Brigade at the Asian Development Bank's No Impact Week

The Firefly Brigade was invited by the Asian Development Bank to participate in their No Impact Week today, March 3, 2015. 

This is the third straight year that the Fireflies showcased their advocacy to a mix of international audience as both expats and local ADB employees gathered around the FFB table to inquire about the Brigade's advocacy and activities for this year.

Many of the expats who came to know of the Firefly Brigade last year came by again and were impressed not only by the group's advocacy but the activities that are planned for this year, especially the Cycling Convergence: Festival of Fireflies and the most awaited 2015 Tour of the Fireflies.  They were assured by the FFB President, Katti Sta. Ana that the organization is well on its way to blazing new grounds and trails when it comes to promoting the bicycle here in the country.


Bike lanes are good if both drivers and bicyclists are disciplined enough to follow the rules. However, if bike lanes are to really serve their purpose, they first must exist in the real world.
